Sometimes the greatest marathons aren’t run with our legs — they’re won with our minds. That’s what I call a marathon mindset.
#UltimateDoerIsMind
Sounds a bit confusing, right? But that’s the whole point — the mind is mysterious, yet incredibly powerful.
I’m writing this based on something I experienced recently — November 1st, 2025. It was the day of a marathon that turned out to be much more than just a race.
The Challenge
I registered about a month earlier, but soon after, I started having knee pain. It didn’t get much better as time went on. As race day got closer, I still wasn’t fully recovered.
But I decided to go anyway — not to prove anything to anyone, just to see what I was capable of. I figured I could at least walk if running became impossible.
Race Day Reality
It was a 21 km half-marathon. I started strong, sticking to my plan and being careful with my legs. Everything was going smoothly until around the 16 km mark — then suddenly, a sharp muscle cramp hit.
The clock was ticking, and I could feel time slipping away.
So, I adjusted my strategy — slowed down, started walking at a steady pace, and focused on moving forward. But with each passing minute, the pain got worse.
The Turning Point
At one point, I was completely stuck — I could barely stand. For a moment, I genuinely doubted I could finish.
Then I stopped, took a deep breath, and told myself:
“Calm down. Just try again. You can do this.”
I kept talking to my mind: You can do this. Just get there before the cut-off. Take care of your leg, but don’t give up.
That inner voice became my coach. I walked again, more carefully this time, counting every minute and every step.
And in the end — I finished. Just five minutes before the cut-off.

The Real Achievement
Some people told me I shouldn’t have pushed through the pain. Maybe they are right. But I wanted to see what my mind was capable of — to test its strength, focus, and willpower.
For me, this marathon wasn’t completed by my legs.
It was completed by my mind. and Indeed,
The ultimate doer is the mind.
Lessons I Want to Share
- Keep believing in yourself, and keep trying — even when everything tells you to stop.
- Don’t just act — be strategic. Adapt your approach when circumstances change.
- Sometimes you need to throw yourself into challenging situations to discover your true strength.
- Learn from others, but move at your own pace — with your own strategy and inner strength.
- Anything is possible with a positive mindset. Whatever you are facing, practice positivity — and share it with others too.
