This year was more about self-reflection—more ups and downs, and deeper realizations about myself & my surroundings. It’s not that I had never thought about these things before, but somehow this year my inner thoughts shifted significantly.
I have always believed in listening to my inner voice, yet social pressures and external influences don’t always allow us to live exactly the way we want. This year, however, became deeply lesson-filled for me.
It began with the USAID funding cuts and their global ripple effects—crisis, tension, job losses, and uncertainty affecting people around the world. That reality impacted me deeply and forced me to rethink my value beyond organizations, titles, and roles—as an individual human being.
As the year progressed, around its midpoint, I made a very risky decision: I left my job to invest time in myself—to pause, reflect, and truly understand what I wanted. Today, on the last day of 2025, I can say that my achievements this year are not another degree, a higher position, or a list of new technical skills.
My real achievement has been life skills—resilience, inner strength, and the ability to listen to my inner governance and stay aligned with what I truly believe and feel.
Leaving my job came with thousands of uncertainties, but what I learned in the last four months is priceless. I won’t say I achieved “many things,” but I will say I learned to trust and enjoy the process rather than chase the destination. Despite uncertainty, negativity, and difficult moments, I kept moving forward—grounded, grateful, and more mindful of others. I also developed a strong urge to ask myself: What can I do? How can I contribute to society?
I am still discovering, but now with more clarity and stronger faith.
As I have mentioned elsewhere in my writing, most people share their journey once they become “successful.” I choose to share mine along the way—not the success, but the process. Because success itself is a metaphor. When people reach one point, they simply choose another point to define as success.
For me, success is living every day fully—with 2G (Grateful & Grounded)—having peace, and being content with what I have while embracing both joy and sadness. Life requires us to go through all of it; this is a universal rule. Over time, when someone lives consciously, they realize that much of their life was peaceful—not because it was perfect, but because peace accumulated through everyday moments. That, to me, is real success—not just bank balance or position.
Success is not a destination; it’s a daily practice of presence.
This year, my achievement has been learning and trying to share positivity and perspective with those around me. Listening deeply to my inner voice is one of my achievements. Becoming skilled at refining my circle is another. Despite negativity, I remain positive and grounded. I am living each day fully—not for the next five years, but for the present, because there is no future without now.
Surviving uncertainty with positivity, empathy, and integrity—as both a human and a professional—that is my achievement of 2025.
2025 didn’t change my direction. It changed my lens.
I enter 2026 without guarantees, but with clarity, faith, and a steady inner compass.
Some of these reflections are being shaped into a longer, quiet eBook—more like a personal record than a guide. I’m sharing it simply for those who prefer to read slowly and privately.
